Traffic light documenta la trasfigurazione di un oggetto urbano emblematico. L’inserimento di un elemento incongruente porta all'insignificanza la dimensione costitutiva e il senso dell'oggetto stesso e, pur mantenendo inalterata la dimensione funzionale, apre interpretazioni e riflessioni diverse della realtà. Nasce un cortocircuito fra l'organizzazione ingegneristica dei flussi urbani e la frivolezza seducente di una presenza piumata. Il progetto si inserisce nella serie Abaco di un’altra città, una riflessione sulla pratica dell’allestimento, apparentemente effimera, e sul valore dell’esistenza temporanea.

Traffic light represent the transfiguration of urban symbol. Each object is fitted with a foreign element, which neutralizes both the constitutive aspects and the meaning of the object itself, and, although preserving the functional aspect as it is, opens up the object to other interpretations and  reflections on reality.
It is a short-circuiting between an engineer's planning of urban flows and the seductive, winking frivolity of a feathered presence. The project is a part of Abacus of another town series, a reflection about set-up practice - apparently ephemeral – and about  temporary existence.
